- Bachelor's Degree Job Summary: Provides direction and guidance for the overall MWHC retail strategy. Responsibility for the operations' financial success and growth of all retail businesses. Investigates new opportunities in the retail arena to expand services to the community. Highest possible customer satisfaction is to be achieved. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Develops and leverages internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals by sponsoring and leading key community outreach and involvement initiatives; engaging key stakeholders in the development, execution and evaluation of appropriate business plans and initiatives; and supporting Associate efforts in these areas. Leads the Retail team by providing clarity of vision; prioritizing resources; facilitating alignment of the team; setting high expectations; inspiring commitment, encouraging mutual support; and enabling development opportunities. Develops and implements multi year business and profitable growth strategies to deliver increased market share by managing financial performance; assessing economic factors, demographic trends, and competitive strategy; enhancing the MWHC Retail brand; and leveraging relationships with key stakeholders. Implements and models customer service standards across the retail businesses by ensuring unbeatable excellence in store standards; understanding unique needs of customer; ensuring enhanced customer experience for the region; creating an environment for all businesses to set excellent customer service expectations that are aligned with customer needs and expectations and company goals. Manages overall financial performance of the businesses by analyzing and reconciling financial reports; creating an administering capital and expense budgets; determining trends and areas of opportunity; advising others on cost control methods; and resolving budgetary issues. Provides overall direction for the businesses by analyzing business objectives and customer needs; developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans; determining and supporting resource requirements; evaluating operational processes; measuring outcomes to ensure desired results; identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; promoting a customer-focused environment; and demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning. Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce by diagnosing capability gaps; recruiting, selecting, and developing talent; supporting mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning; and leveraging the capabilities of new and existing talent. Cultivates an environment where Associates respect and adhere to MWHC Values by integrating these values into all programs and practices. Establishes revenue and profit targets for solutions, products, and services on the basis of market research. Determines and develops the best portfolio of solutions, products, and services to counter competitors' strategies and respond to community needs. Employs established methods or techniques to the analysis of financial data. Uses knowledge of financial data, including history, strengths, and weaknesses, to evaluate potential solutions to situations. Analyzes and integrates trends and patterns to determine the root causes of problems and identify solutions. Evaluates short- and long-term implications of decisions. Accurately forecasts growth, costs, and business challenges. Creates an environment where Associates are held accountable for achieving goals and results. Applies broad, cross-functional knowledge and resources to produce results that best fit the company strategy. Prioritizes and balances time, actions, resources, and initiatives to ensure accomplishment of critical results. Makes sure desired change initiatives and priorities are implemented appropriately. This position is responsible for the operation of multiple facilities. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job related responsibilities and duties as assigned and/or as necessary. Qualifications: Minimum of ten (10) years managing a retail store with demonstrated success in financial reporting and analytics, operations, shrink control, operating metrics and productivity benchmarks. Minimum of fifteen (15) years of retail experience Bachelor Degree in a business-related field Demonstrated proficiency also in store level merchandising techniques, merchandising math, marketing strategy, web-based retail operations and/or channel integration with an online presence.
