It?s like the Playoffs of beer?
Cask ale connoisseurs and college kids just looking to get drunk will descend upon the newly renovated SweetWater Brewery for the 3rd Annual Brew Your Cask Off festival on March 10th. If you?re unfamiliar with the yearly battle for cask ale supremacy, here?s the skinny. SweetWater has scoured the Southeast and selected 90 special guest brewers to churn out masterfully designed casks to compete for your undying love and adoration. These beer writers, restaurateurs, retailers, home brewers, charities and media outlets were paired up with a SweetWater master brewer to create their own one-of-a-kind cask to be presented and tasted at the festival. Casks will be sampled and ranked by a handpicked group of judges, along with a vote for the People?s Choice Award from festival guests.

There?s going to be plenty of eats from several renowned Atlanta food vendors and live music from Betsy Franck & The Bareknuckle Band. So what?s new you ask? More space that?s what! The tented space is double the size from last year to deter long lines and being cramped together like a pack of sardines. Last year?s theme seemed to be chocolate-inspired offerings, so we can?t wait to see which ingredient the brewers will be reaching for in droves this go round. Our money?s on bacon. Mmmm?bacon. Check out the full list of guest brewers here.

Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the gate. Be advised that this shindig is known to sell out, so be sure to get your tickets early. Like two weeks ago early. Capiche?
